Signing Up and Opting In to the Service

Enrollment requires you to provide your phone number and agree to these Terms. You may not enroll if you are under 18 years old. By opting in, you acknowledge that you do not have to agree to receive messages as a condition of purchase; confirm that you are the subscriber to, or customary user of, the relevant phone number and are authorized to opt in; and consent to the use of an electronic record to document your opt-in.

Third-Party Sites

At times, the Site may link to websites hosted by other parties ("Third-Party Sites"). These links are offered as a convenience and for informational purposes only, not as referrals or endorsements. The Third-Party Sites are maintained by their respective organizations, which are solely responsible for their content. Mobile Terms of Use

The following applies ONLY to text-messaging opt-ins. Our SMS program informs subscribers about updates, changes, and insurance products, and may provide updates regarding Health, Life, Auto, and Home insurance programs.

  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Mobile subscribers' phone numbers will never be shared or sold for the purpose of SMS marketing by unaffiliated third parties.

Supported carriers include AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Boost, Virgin Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Cricket, Alltel, Cincinnati Bell, Cellcom, C-Spire, nTelos, MetroPCS, and other smaller regional carriers. The Service may not be available on all wireless carriers, and carriers may be added or removed at any time without notice.

Limitation of Liability

Local General Insurance shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, or claim, nor any special, indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages of any kind, whether based in tort, contract, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise, arising out of or relating to the Site, the materials on it, any Third-Party Site, or any defect, omission, error, interruption, delay, or computer virus. If you are in a state that does not allow such limitations, the above may not apply to you. These Terms are effective until terminated by either party.
